Public Health Centers in Sumida City

“Milestone” Health Checkup for the youth(Jyakunen hushime kenko shinsa)

Sumida-ward carries out “milestone�Ehealth checkup for inhabitants of Sumida Ward who will become 20, 25, 30, and 35 years old. To those who are entitled to the checkup, Sumida Ward will send schedule and a ticket for the checkup. Please visit Honjo Health Center during the reception time with the ticket. Health Checkup for the youth(Jyakunen kenko shinsa)

Inhabitants of Sumida ward who are 30 years old to 39 years old are entitled to the Health Checkup for the youth. Please make a reservation over the phone during the application period at either Mukojima Health Center or Honjo Health Center.

Stomach/Colon Cancer Examination (Igan/daichogan kenshin)

Sumida City residents over the age of 35 years are eligible to receive this examination free of charge. Please make an appointment at either center.

Uterine and Breast Cancer Examination (Shikyugan/nyugan kenshin)

Sumida ward provides uterus cancer checkup for female inhabitants of Sumida ward at the age of 20 and over, and breast cancer checkup for those at the age of 40 and over.

Lung cancer Examination(Haigan kenshin)

Also it provides lung cancer checkup for inhabitants of Sumida ward at the age of 40 and over.

Cancer of the Liver and Other Examinations (Kanzo nado sono ta no gan kenshin)

You can receive examinations on an appointment basis at the Tokyo Metropolitan Cancer Detection Center, 2-5, Kanda-Surugadai, Chiyoda-ku, Tel. 3292-2341. A fee is charged.

Tuberculosis Prevention (Kekkaku no yobo)

A regular tuberculosis examination is recommended. For full details, contact either of the public health centers.

Treatment of Incurable Diseases (Nanbyo no chiryo)

There is a financial aid program available for those who are receiving treatment for such serious diseases as Bechet disease or Parkinson's disease. For full details, call the centers.

Consultations on AIDS (Eizu sodan)
