Resort Facilities
Sumida City owns report facilities which both residents and those who work in the city are welcome to use. Please check in advance with each division for any changes in user fees.
Izu Highland Inn (Izu Kogenso)

From the top floor of this in, there is a great view of the seven islands of Izu, Mount Omuro, the Amagi Mountains, and other scenic spots. This facility is available for Sumida residents, as well as those who work in Sumida City, in parties of two or more. (If you desire to go there alone, please call the in directly.)
Fees
A one-night stay with two meals is 5,400yen for adults (this includes children aged 12 and over) and 3,400yen for children from three to 11 years old. The limit of continuous stay is three nights. (Two nights during the New Year and spring/summer school holidays).
How to Apply for Accommodations
For an application, mail (between the first and the 10th day of the month) a special return postcard to the Community Section, Community Promotion and Women's Division of the Sumida City Hall (Tel. 5608-6201), two months prior to the month you wish to use the facility. This special return postcard is available at the City Hall, its branch offices, and at public libraries. Your turn is decided at a public drawing; you will be notified by postcard of the results.
