The Sumida City Hall, built on the banks of the Sumida River, is an 18-story building with two sub-ground floors. Its up-to-date technology allows it to cope with the information-oriented society we live in today. "Sumida Riverside Hall," adjacent to the City Hall, is a symbol of riverside culture. Toei-Asakusa Subway Line: Honjo-Azumabashi Station - a 5-minute walk
Tobu Isezaki Line: Asakusa Station - a 5-minute walk
Tokyo Metropolitan Bus Line: Honjo-Azumabashi stop - a 5-minute walk
Tokyo Metropolitan Bus Line: Sumida City Hall stop - just in front of the bus stop
Tokyo Metropolitan Bus Line: River Pier Azumabashi (or Sumida City Hall) - a 1-minute walk

Consulting Counter (Sodan madoguchi)
As described elsewhere in this booklet (page 22), we offer consulting services to the city's foreign residents at our Residents' Consultation Counter with services in English and Chinese. Other areas of consultation include legal matters, human rights, notary public, and other similar services. All are free of charge, but are in Japanese. Consultations on the city's administrative issues are provided (in Japanese) at our Residents' Consulting Corner (Tel. 5608-1111, ext. 4541) on the first floor.
